When the goods are delivered by the carrier, the consumer must count the number of pieces received and inspect for damage. If the number of pieces delivered does not match the number on the carrier’s delivery note, the customer must write down the number of pieces received next to their signature.
The words "uncounted, unchecked or unexamined" will not be accepted on the delivery note. If pieces are damaged the customer must cross out “delivered in good condition" on the delivery note. A signature is an acceptance that the consumer has received the whole order in good condition. Any shortages or damage must be reported within 48 hours of signing.
Neither Shopping.net Ltd nor the carrier can be held responsible for shortages or damages if the consumer has not recorded it on the delivery note. If consumers refuse delivery for any other reason that the goods being damaged in transit, they are liable for all outward and return freight charges. If any of the larger products will not fit through doors or stairwells, and delivery is refused or returned, the consumer will be responsible for all outward and return freight costs.
